Traveling aboard? Here are 4 must haves to pack with you!
Traveling can be exciting, fun and tiresome at the same time! And while you have the strength, means and energy to travel, do it! Go out, visit different parts of the world, explore various cultures, taste different foods, meet people of all race groups! I love living life to the fullest and for me traveling and exploring different places form part of that experience!
Travel is fun, but it can also be tiresome so its best to travel light, pack accordingly and well research the places you will be visiting!
I recently traveled to Nepal, en-route to Mount Kailash on the “Kailash with Mohanji” yatra. And I had to pack clothing to suit the warm climate in Kathmandu, and the bitterly cold climate in Tibet going up to Mount Kailash!
Here are 5 tips for you to travel light and be well packed!
- Invest in good thermal wear is a must! Yes thermals can be expensive, but try your luck and you might find your nearest trek shop is having a sale! Thermals are important because they are often lightweight and keep you warm especially in those unexpected weather changes!
- Electrolytes. These aren’t just great to keep you hydrated while trekking but are also great to have on you incase you feel weak.
- Beach slippers! A common type of slipper used in India, these rubber or plastic slippers however simple they look, are extremely helpful in situations where you need to use public showers or use the shower at the airport!
- Motion sickness hand bands. Motion sickness can sometimes be unavoidable. And when traveling the last thing we really want is to feel nauseas. There are motion sickness tablets one can take to prevent this, but from experience it just makes me drowsy. These bands can be purchased an pharmacies in the travel section, they don’t make you drowsy and is useful for all types of travel!
