The Unshakable Glory of Love

There is something deeply powerful about sincerely loving another person without expecting anything in return. This isn’t about romantic love, it isn’t about love for family and friends either. But love on a deeper more soul stirring level. And that is a love for all beings without the need of something in return. Truly loving all human beings, despite their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and so on.

And ofcourse loving not just human beings, but animals, plants, wildlife and so on. This also means respecting them equally and not ‘getting into their space’ or causing harm to them in anyway. Referring to the unnecessary burning of the Amazon for cow slaughter and human greed!

We often think that loving unconditionally makes us appear weak to the world. As many a time people use our ‘goodness’ as a means to exploit or use us.

But in fact there is a glory in loving unconditionally that affords us the power to be unshakable. What does it mean to be ‘unshakable’? In life, not everything will always go the way you wish or plan it to be. Not everyone will like you either. And its okay. Being unshakable means to be strong and firm in the face of all adversities and pains. Easy? I think not. But when we face life with the attitude of unconditional love, life becomes easier, we become stronger!
