Four ways to save money this December
So, we are in the midst of December and the festive season is coming soon. With Christmas just a week from now and festive beats playing in shopping malls, it is easy to over spend. But that can leave you with a bit of an injured bank account in January. And who wants to really start their new year being broke? I wouldn’t and I don’t think you would want that either.
You see when you start your year with the mind set of abundance, and a heart full of gratitude, the year can be more fruitful and productive. But of course if you over spend in December or go over your financial budget, and unless you get additional income in the beginning of January, it is likely that you could face financial worries in the beginning of the year.
Here are four ways to save money this December and have a super start to the year ahead!
- Sell instead of buying. Say Whhaaat? Yep that’s correct. Many people wait for the festive season to buy stuff and sometimes they don’t find what they are looking for. So it is good idea to look at what people within your community need or ‘want’ and use that as an advantage to make some extra cash.
- Look for good deals on stuff you actually need. Don’t get swayed with aggressive marketing and buy stuff that you actually don’t need. Rather look for good deals, and offers on stuff that you would need.
- Create a budget for all your expenses. Including gifts. And then do not go over that amount.
- I know it is the festive season and retail businesses use the blessed time of Christmas to convince you that giving(gifts) shows love. Love isn’t about the material things and giving doesn’t mean giving material gifts. So rather spend Christmas with loved ones, giving love, giving joy and giving people the gift of your friendship, loyalty and commitment.
I hope these few tips on saving helps you get through the festive season and go into the new year with abundance and a positive outlook on the year ahead!
Until next time. Lots of love
Salona
