Don’t we deserve to be free?
I think it is confining that we are expected to put on a smile and just “be friends” with just about anyone or everyone who comes in to our lives. Sometimes, we just meet not even 5 minutes and there you have some stranger either gossiping about someone else that you both might know. Or worse, complaining to you about their problems, continuously… Now, we can repel these sorts of people if we change our energy flow and who or what we are attracting into our life. But there are moments when you get introduced to friends of someone you sort of know… and well, a ‘fake’ relationship starts and before you know it you are Facebook friends and the person is contacting you to ‘give you’ advice based on one of your statuses. Bwaaaaahahahahahha!
Now this has not happened to me, at least not for a good few years now. But this is just an observation of mine of how people engage and interact with each other.
There is so much of fakeness in this world. Friendships are built on meaningless sweet talk and sour gossip when you leave the room. And if you are one of the people who has faced, or is facing this, well I am here to tell you, no more!
Why should we feel confined? Why should we be friends with people who don’t match our energy or interest? Why should we be ‘forced’ to be friends with them on social media? Or entertain their gossip, especially if it is about someone else who you know and love?
Our capabilities and ability to achieve all that we want, might be endless, but our time on earth is unfortunately limited. Time is passing us by, so why waste time and energy in engaging with anyone who brings you down?
Just leave. Unapologetically end those draining friendships. It is easier to love those types of people in abundance when you love them from afar and when they are not in your face interfering in your life… The energy in your life will change, you will feel positive and have the urge to focus only on your dreams.
Haha I know this weeks read might sound harsh… But hey we can’t love in abundance and be productive if we entertain an energy that is draining and confining. Right?
Do you have a friends like that? Or know someone who does? Let me know in the comments below.
Love you!
