Does faith move mountains?
What is faith? What is a mountain and why do we want to move it?
Trusting in God, your divine being, Shiva or whichever version of a Higher Power you choose to believe in, means having full faith that you are taken care of, 100% without a doubt. That is, knowing that you are safe, knowing that you are in abundance, knowing that whatever situation you are in today, it WILL be okay tomorrow, because you are not alone. But many times the words “I have faith” is misused because it is merely words uttered but with doubt, fear and worry in the mind and heart. Is that really faith? I am no one to question anyone else’s faith. But ask this to yourself and determine if your faith in real or not.
There is a massive change in life when we move from just saying these words hoping that if we say that we have faith, then things will work out, and actually saying it with faith and trust that things are okay and that things will be okay.
The power of this faith can move anything. Mountains, rivers, oceans, planets and what not. Because the Being who you are having faith in, is the same one who created these very mountains, rivers, planets etc. So your faith in Him/Her can cause many obstacles to be removed.
Some people say that hurdles or problems, also known as mountains (haha) are meant to test our faith. And while I might have a different perspective, if it is true, then wouldn’t it mean that HAVING FAITH is the answer to score well in your test?
How to have faith when your world is falling down?
This isn’t easy. But let’s look at the facts right.
- If we have faith, we have hope that things can get better
- If we don’t have faith then we don’t really have faith that things can get better, right? Because by having faith we are trusting in the possibility of things getting better.
So, we don’t really have much of an option right? We have to have faith in order to move forward. And we do want to move forward, isn’t that so?
Does God help you even without faith?
I would believe so. Why? Because HE/SHE helps everyone. Including people who straight out profess that they don’t believe there is a God. Yet they are still living, breathing and so on. God is the epitome of Abundant Love. He/She cares for all beings, and creatures regardless.
But then if we still get blessed regardless of our faith, then why have faith in the first place?
The difference between an atheist who openly doesn’t believe in God and a person who believes in God but has doubts and a lack of faith of progress in his own life, is this:
- The atheist actually believes that he or she deserves a good life and that they will lead a good life and that they don’t need anyone or special being to help them. And since God is the epitome of love, He/She blesses them with the ‘good life’, they believe they deserve.
- While a person who believes in God but has self-doubt and doubt of progress in life, also believes that bad things can happen to them. And they doubt that good things actually can happen. And so, God blesses them by again loving and protecting them, but also blesses them with the life they THINK they can lead. Which means protection but also hints of lack. Because that is what they believe.
So yes faith can move mountains, believing in God without much faith doesn’t guarantee a life of abundance. But believing in God and trusting that you are taken care of, creates a life of bliss, inner happiness and abundance in all that you believe in.
